If the cough is related to phlegm, then drinking a lot of water, hot tea, orange juice, hot lemonade.... will help.
Honey and lemon make a great cough treatment for a cough. It's an old home remedy that does work.
The gargling with warm salt water is another good home remedy.
If it's allergic cough, that's different.

That depends on the nature of the cough.
One of my favourites is honey, because it contains a powerful antibacterial agent and will kill bacteria in your throat (while tasting good too).
You should also try to clear your nose, this can be done buy inhaling hot vapours, or a bit of mustard (old english or wasabi) usually unblocks my nose.
For the lungs, fresh is a the ticket, thought also sauna or steam rooms can help.
However a really bad cough (or worse yet, a persistent cough) is likely to be caused by pneumonia and is worth hitting with some antibiotics if you don't want to die.

it depends on what sort of cough it is (itching, drying, painfully). It helps when you shelter your mouth by suppose a scarfe (you understand?) don't talk that much - because your throat could dry out, drink sweet water (just water could also have a drying out effect) (not to sweet though) and those sweets specially for the throat. or drink warm things, like a curry or green tea
hope this helps

Well first you really need to know what is causing the cough, but there is no better cough expectorant sold anywhere than water. So, drink up!

Without using medicine? I suppose you'd have to give your body the situation and time required to heal itself. Ensure that you are kept warm, rest, and drink plenty of water to keep yourself well hydrated.
