The New Testiment Does Not Say anything Specific about Rape - except one thing.

Jesus said: "I am not here to change the laws - I am here to enforce them." Basically, this means all the rules of the Old Testiment still apply...Jesus just said that it was his job to enforce the rules - so the answer you are looking for - if it is strictly Biblical one - can be found in the Old Testiment.

Deuteronomy 22:23-24
If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city. –

Deuteronomy 22:28-29
If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. --

Deuteronomy 22:25-27
But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die. ... For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her. --

So: what these passages mean is this. If you did not scream - you were not raped.

If you are not engaged to another man - you and the rapist should get married and he should pay your father fifty shekels of silver.

As Jesus never changed the old laws, and said clearly his job is to enforce them, if you are a true christian you have to obey these rules.

It goes without saying that if God and Jesus loved you so much they would never have allowed this to happen to you in the first place. But, the good news is that there is no empirical evidence for god and no archeological evidence outside of the Bible that Jesus even existed.

Being religious will not help you deal with this. It has nothing to do with christianity and everything to do with a sick, deranged rapist that needs to be encarcerated for a very long time.

You did nothing wrong, it is not your fault in any way, although many christians will blame you. If they do not hold you accountable in some way, then they are betraying their religion which also says that you are less of a human because you are female.

Trust in your own intelligence, use your brain not your heart on this one. Go to the police and the hospital. ASAP

Jesus hates rape and the acts of assault on women whom God has created in his image. But what does Jesus actually think about the individuals who have done all of those things?

He only knows for sure, but it appears from the Bible that He wants everyone to turn from their sins and be forgiven. Eveyone is on their way to Hell if they don't trust in Jesus for their salvation. Rapists and murderers are on their way to Hell and so are drunkards and slanderers and the sexually immoral.

1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Do I think becoming "religious" will help you get over the assault?

Not really. Becoming "religious" might take your mind off what happened for a while and give you a sense of belonging and a safe environment. But getting born again by God's Holy Spirit who is our comforter and counselor and who makes us new creations in Christ will help every person get over the things in their past that trouble them.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Sorry to hear about your plight. Religion will not help you to cope with the aftermath of what happened to you. You need to get professional help from professionals. See you doctor who may give you more information about professionals who can help you. Forget about religion. Religion will only rape you again.
