There are many. For me I get exercise. But I also get a deep relaxation from the meditation part of it. I feel much less stress after a 30 minute yoga session. And the stretching etc.. makes my body feel better takes away the tension. And since I just found out that I am pregnant again it will help me keep flexible and make the birth much more easy, and helps keep the extra weight under control.

Happy Holidays !

Best you meet those who have practised yoga for a length of time. You wont believe what benefits they would have had. I brother in law was a wreck 12 months ago till he started practising yoga and I couldn't recognise him after 12 months. He looks so much fit and young that I couldn't believe he was the same guy. That is why I say go and meet someone who has seriously practised yoga and find out what it can do for you.

Basically yoga is to make sure evry muscle in ur body gets the adequate amount of stretching and contraction. I am a yoga student and yoga is a real help if u r 2 stressed out. It relaxes the spinal chord bulb which controls the brain as in it helps you to easily relax and chill down. But excess of yoga can be harmful. An amount of twice daily half hour each is perfect to keep you young and healthy. And moreover it keeps one yung and charming and fit.
cheers
and enjoy yoga

The most important benefit of yoga is physical and mental therapy. The aging process, which is largely an artificial condition, caused mainly by autointoxication or self-poisoning, can be slowed down by practicing yoga. By keeping the body clean, flexible and well lubricated, we can significantly reduce the catabolic process of cell deterioration. To get the maximum benefits of yoga one has to combine the practices of yogasanas, pranayama and meditation.

Yoga and its postures are of Hindu origin, and are designed to worship man-made Hindu gods. Stay away from all forms of Yoga and stick to regular exercises.
