I am a 16 year old girl and I was just wondering that. I am definitely not ready for intimacy right now. I would just like a boyfriend. Is that even possible?

Of course it is. You don't have to do anything that you're not comfortable with. A lot of couples actually wait until they're married to be intimate. The only way you'd be intimate with someone would be either by force or if you gave in. There are still guys out there who respect women.

do you mean intimacy as i sex? or intimacy as in just being close and romantic with someone. because its different. if you're not ready for sex then i'm glad you at least recognize that. yes it is possible to have a bf without that kind of intimacy. you just need to find the right guy.

If you mean sexual intimacy, of course. There are plenty of boys and girls in your position. Just be open and honest with each other and don't submit to pressure. You'll be fine. I was once in your position. Even if a boy wants sex, if you are close to him, most will be o.k. with waiting until you are ready without pressure.

yes it is if your not ready for intimacy then you need to let him know that you are not ready and he will have to understand how you feel about the whole intimacy thing

You should explain what you mean by intimacy as there is more than one kind.
Any sort, you'll never be taken seriously.
Physical intimacy, sure you can go without that and most likely be treated with respect.
Emotional intimacy, well if it is only that, that you refuse then you'll be treated as a sl*t.

I had a long term boyfriend with no intimacy...we eventually broke up but he was a turd! It is very possible!

yes, it is VERY much possible. most guys don't even look for intimacy. just find a nice guy who's looking for a slower relationship, just like you are. be careful, though, men are dogs.

yeah it's possible, those type of guys are rare though. Very rare to find. You just have to look around hard enough. If you want an ideal type of guy, good looks and stuff. Your not going to find that. Unless your really lucky. But Just keep looking.
