YES.

Physical therapy (or physiotherapy[1]) is a healthcare profession concerned with prevention and management of movement disorders occurring throughout the lifespan. Physical therapy can only be performed by either a qualified physical therapist (physiotherapist) or physical therapist assistant (PTA). [2] Individualized management may involve the interaction between patient/client, families, caregivers, and healthcare team in a process of assessing movement potential and in establishing goals and objectives using knowledge and skills unique to physical therapists.

The physical therapists’ distinctive view of the body and its movement needs and potential is central to determining a diagnosis and an intervention strategy and is consistent whatever the setting in which practice is undertaken. These settings will vary in relation to whether physical therapy is concerned with health promotion, prevention, treatment or rehabilitation.[2]

Sorry. I would love to help you on that question, but I can't.

I have a question relating to physiotherapy! IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT TO ME. SO HELP ME, PLEASE!

I'm a high school graduate of Jamaica. I'm now in 6th form and doing A-levels.

I did chemistry and biology (no physics) as the only science subjects in high school. And now I'm pursuing chemistry and biology again at A-levels.

Will I be able to and allowed to study physiotherapy/physicaltherapy when I get to college?
(P.S. Remember I didn't take physics.)

Why can't you guys just help out a teenager who is thinking about her future?

I shouldn't get "thumbs down" any at all.

Anyone can walk in and become a physiotherapist..

A physiotherapist is just another name for a scientific masseuse... (Atleast that's what I feel anyway)...
