Well a bought this long tube of Pillsbury cookie dough, and I'm planning on making cookies. But it says spoon by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. I know everything except how to get them separated. Please help.
Please and thank you,

After you have spooned up your dough (use the small "teaspoon" that you would eat cereal with) hold it over the cookie sheet about where you want the dough blob to fall, then take another spoon and use the back of it to push the dough off of spoon #`1. The "use the back" is important. If you try to use the concave side of the spoon you will just transfer the blob to spoon #2.

Paula Deen uses her fingers to do this on her cooking show, but I cringe every time I see her do it. Heaven only knows where that finger has been and what it has touched!

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, but I never listen to the size they recommend. I just grab a spoon, take some cookie dough, then roll it in my hand and put it on the sheet. Just make sure you make the cookies all the same size. =) And make sure they're not outrageously large or incredibly small.

For "how to get them separated"--do you mean the spacing between the cookies? If it says to put them 2 inches apart, then just start with one in the corner, and make rows and columns 2" apart.

A knife or just your hands.
