It is either in Jeremiah or Isaiah that states God records your birth and the day of your death.

Because His Word (the Bible) says that "It is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgement".

That statement implies that God knows when, where and under what circumstances.

Your question is worded in such a way as to make God seem like the "bad guy" in the situation.

We are all agents of free choice. Choose to serve God and live for Him.....you go to Heaven so why does it matter when you die? Choose not to serve and live for Him...you go to Hell and most likely are the type of person who is always looking for someone outside yourself to blame for your own poor choices. God says, "Choose today whom you will serve.." Who will it be?

Nope.

If I died by jumping of a bridge tonight, it's because I chose to. Not God.

If I was killed by a drunk driver tonight, it's because he chose to drive home from the bar on a Saturday drunk. Or because maybe I chose not to wear a seatbelt.

But not because God decided I had to die.

It's called free will. I believe in God, but I think he lets us make our own decisions and live our own lives.

Yes, but not only God choose your death. You also choose your death, just like you and God choose your birth.

No. I don't believe any god exists, but if he did, that would violate free will. God knowing the date of your death would make it impossible for you to make any choice that would change it.

Yes, because God knows all, past, present and future. He also knows the number of hairs on our head. He knew us before we were knit in our mother's womb. Also, Jesus (God in flesh) knew how the disciples were going to die because He told them not to worry about what was going to happen to John-but to worry about themselves! He told them they would be led away to their death. John's life was spared and he lived in exile because he was Christ's best friend.

No...

First: There is no "God"

Second: Even if there was...he's got nothing to do with my safety...

Third: The date of my death has not arrived yet...and nobody knows when that is...but I will hazard a guess...

It will be between the day after tomorrow, and...

2064...which comes out at an even 100 years if I survive until then...optimistic, sure...but I got nothing to lose being optimistic...

I think God flicked through a calender, but ultimately decided that none of the dates suited the occasion of my death.

So I'm pretty much living for ever.

Thanks god.
