Is the drain created by the illegals on the welfare system making it harder for legal citizens?

If illegals are dipping into the welfare monies, shouldn't the people that are legal be feeling the pinch? I don't see or hear any complaining from the large numbers of people already on wefare in this country!

Your right bmwr, But why is it that I never see a post on here where someone on welfare is complaining about what they have lost because of the illegals?

You are right...I don't understand why the NAACP hasn't come out against illegal aliens....has to be a money thing. The ones losing the most are blacks think of the inter-city schools, could the millions being spent on ESL classes be better spent on American children? New schools? Computers? Science Labs? Math labs? Don't understand why some people are choosing illegal aliens over Americans, contrary to popular belief there is NOT enough money to go around...CHOOSE AMERICANS!

That's because the working poor and the middle class pick up the tab, just one example ~ welfare use drives up health care cost for working individuals, because they use the emergency room like their own personal doctors office, this is an expensive inefficient service that's meant to treat emergencies, not treat colds, in turn hospitals negotiate higher fee agreements with insurance companies so they can stay open, who in turn raise their health care coverage rates on the middle class. Its the trickle UP effect.

I have no idea where people get this idea that illegals drain welfare. Illegal aliens aren't even eligible for welfare in most states.

go to a free clinic and see how long you have to wait for service......same at emergency rooms
