What is Religion and Spirituality????

OK..... I've got your attention now read my point before you answer...

Religion is Spirituality for over 99.0% of people (regardless of what religion they profess faith in). However, a whiny minority of "bad folks" ... And yes.... (those whom seek to silence believers simply because they believe) ARE BAD... Spirituality is not vodoo-wacky-factory-"atheism" run amuck... Spirituality-is-has-and-always will be-a relationship with God.... regardless of the faith professed.... "Spirituality" Comes from (AND IS) "FAITH". The overwhelming majority of US Citizens believe in GOD and the "Overwhelming" Majority of them in the Son of God "JESUS CHRIST". How then, do these evil people whom speak from many sides of their mouth here on YA in the R&S forum continue to degrade and belittle believers (of any faith- But primarily Christians) in a sadistic and perverted way? Is it not obvious that truely spiritual people are being silenced on YA?

Please forgive the missing words and miss-spellings.... YA would not allow the word athiest, etc... in the orgional typing, and it actually took a long time to get a readable version online.... (it's still messed up, but I'm sure you can make it out)....Wow! I didn't know they did this until now.

I agree. Spirituality is the purest form of religion. The word religion originates from latin (religio). It means what links man to god.

In the ancient vedic scriptures it is explained that the eternal link between the spirit souls and the Lord is established through a loving relationship and is caracterized by mutual service. Although the Supreme Lord is master of everything, He sometimes becomes the servant of His servants, in that intimate relationship.

Having gone astray from the right path, we have entered the material sky and peregrinated from planet to planet in search of that supreme pleasure which is only obtainable from that loving relationship with the Lord.

In order to help us reestablish that lost relationship, the Lord comes personnally or sends bona fide representatives to show what devotional service is. By practicing such service under proper guidance, one can revive the dormant love which is now transformed into lust, and, upon leaving this mortal body, reintegrate one's position in the spiritual sky which is full of beauty, knowledge, bliss and eternity.

Religion to me is a system of beliefs that I have grown to live by and serve my God (Father of Christ). Spirituality to me is the deeper walk that I have personally with my Father in Heaven through Jesus Christ. It is the conversations that I have with my Heavenly Father through Christ. The Holy Spirit works in me to lead, guide and direct my paths. However, the Holy Spirit does not force me to do anything...it is left for me to chose.....

Spirituality comes with Christ the Savior. Religion comes with man, who wants their own personal government, and control of people. Period.

tell me, how do you know that god exists? i'm asking a simple, honest, innocent question so please don't get all in a huff about it. just answer it. can you answer? is it simply because everyone around you believes it? is it simply because a book and priest tell you so? do you have any actual fact? because on behalf of athiests, forgive us for questioning the existence of something that hasn't been very well explained or exampled to us. forgive us for thinking a little outside the box. and forgive us for thinking that hitler lost ww2, because we most certaintly did, but from what i've seen of christianity and most other religions, it would seem that hitler won

There will always be those who are out to silence the Gospel of our Lord. That is the people we pray for because they are lost souls. It seems my 1st account on here was reported and shut down do to my strong belief in Jesus. But here I am again on YA speaking the truth set forth by our Saviour.

Continue to be positive in His name and through the Word that He left. Other people will have their opinions and different views......it will always be like that.
