According to our government $12 million in Iraqi oil PER DAY goes missing. I'm sure Bush and Cheney know where it is going. The rest of it is handled by Bush, Cheney and the US government. Billions per day are also missing from these funds.

The Iraqi oil fields are run by private companies contracted to the Iraqi oil ministry. The revenue goes to the Iraqi government.
Prior to June 2004 (when political automatity was returned to the Iraqi government) this was managed by the US - and detailed records were kept so we could prove what happened to every penny.

The Iraqi Oil Ministry controls all of the oil production. It is still a state-owned enterprise. Existing contracts going back to the days when Iraq was ruled by Saddam Hussein and the Ba'thists obligate 85% of that oil production to a French firm, Compagnie Petrol De Francais. Once that was discovered in the files of the Iraqi Oil Ministry after we took Baghdad, the French government got very quiet about our Iraq policy.

The operation of a modern day oil field is not for the faint of heart. It takes money, resources, and know how, lots of know how.
The Iraqis CONTROL their oil and the circumstances around how it will be used but they hire out the actual operation of the fields to private contractors as needed.
100% of the reveune from this oil goes to the Iraqi government and is dispersed as that government sees fit.
One of the big sticking points in Iraq right now is the legal issue of the proportionment of the oil revenues among the several sects (Sunni, Shia, and Kurds) which have been a part of the Iraqi social makeup for hundreds of years.

There is over a 65% Shiite Muslim majority in Iraq. The Iraqi democracy elected a primarily Shiite Government. The Shiite Iraq government controls most of the current oil fields in Iraq. The United States controls most of the current Shiite government in Iraq.
You put the pieces together.

The oil from Iraq is sold mainly to India and China and Russia. There is a proposition that if the Iraqi's intend us to stay(and they have asked us to) and set up bases there in Iraq, they will give the US retribution for the war,as a peace keeping force, and for our efforts to stabilize their region of the world.

I dont think anyone will really know the answer to this question. But if you research it, it all leads to Bush. Yet he is not smart enough to do it alone, and come vice pres. ex-ceo of one of the major oil companies in the US. it all fits together. but you have to look it up on your own to believe it and make your own conclusions.
