Pray for more faith.
Hang around with people who have more solid faith than you.
Remember other times in your life when your faith carried you through...when you saw the bigger picture, when the mystery in the middle took you to a blessing at the end, whatever.
Go through the motions, putting your faith before your feelings. You don't play games with God or yourself, you simply do what you may not feel like doing, knowing that much of religious ceremony is to remind you of the things you believe in. The idea is..."God, my heart is NOT in this but I'm going to do my part because I know it is what I am supposed to be doing." In time you will see that God comes through for you and is trustworthy, and your rituals (prayer, tithing, having a good attitude, studying the scripture, etc) will become meaningful again.
Remember that your principles, religious and otherwise, NEVER mean more than when they are tested...these are the times when you find out what you are made of. It's easy to be rock solid when things are all going right. It's easy to believe when there is no question. It's easy to be truthful when you have nothing to lie about. It's easy to have a cheerful heart when everything is going well. All these things are harder when you don't know what's going on, or when things are falling apart, or when you may suffer for doing the right thing. When you stand by your principles in the dark times, they beome more hard won and easier to call up when you need them most in the future.
There is nothing wrong with a little healthy doubt, when you come back to your faith, you will have fought for it and you will be even more solid in your convictions than you were when you had your crisis of faith. You are being stretched my friend. Give yourself a break on your very human and natural doubting, but do let God have the chance to give you peace again.

My practice has always been to stay as near to God as I can. It sounds as though you saying, :" What do I do when I've sinned and can't seem to find my way out and I feel that God is fading away! Am I close? This is always a good time to stay in the Word/Bible every waking opportunity you get, and remember that satan normally strikes hardest at this time because you are the most vulnerable and once he has you on this path it takes great efforts and mind focus and sould searching to get back on track. If you'd like to talk more, I can be reached on my email address. Feel free to drop me a note and let me know if things have changed for the better. I will begin praying for you now, that God brings you closer to HIM, but my guess is He's waiting for you to repent and get back on track. Remember, HE never leaves you!

I think we all go thru a phase like this at some point. I have been lately, but what me pulled me out of my funk was a question in philosophy earlier. If you could ask God 5 questions what would they be? It made me realize what I needed to do and work on. Odd how things come up at just the right time, huh?
I guess I keep my eyes and heart open and realize I am not perfect and have to remember to listen to what cannot always be heard.

I go through those times too. But I am always assured by the fact that my faith is only falling asleep, and will never die. Jesus promised to love each of us to the very end.
Something I find helpful is to listen to Christian music on Youtube. Amazing Grace is a really good one, and there are so many others. I also come onto here to confide in fellow Christians what I'm going through. Most people are really kind and sensitive about it, and God really speaks to me through them. Know that God loves you and will never let you go.

I don't know either. Mine is fading and I want it back. Mostly, I think it fades out of stupidity. Stupid people using the Bible as 100% truth, and failing to see that it was written by flawed men, not god--- and furthermore, was translated multiple times by men who "translated" based on the time. Example with simple punctuation.
Woman without her man is nothing.
Woman; without her, man is nothing.
See what I mean? It bothers me that people use the Bible as 100% truth. Should we be setting our children on fire and stoning women to death who have more than one lover?
I think once people "get with the times", so to speak, I will have more faith.

Frequent reoccurence of fundamentals ensures perpetuity.
In other words, go back to the basics of your faith on a regular basis to keep you going strong, and progressing towards your goals.

Negative question, think about it.... God is a positive force. Negatives thoughts separate you from him.
Negative thoughts are like the darkness. They make you feel bad and give you a sense of hopelessness. In God there is only light. There is no darkness in the light. You must stay positive to stay in the light.
Stay positive. God bless.

hmmm...well usually it doesnt just fade by itself, it usually has a source that is slowing growing more important than your relationship with God, or obstructing it... when this is the case you need to find this source and surrender it to God.. you really need to let Him take control of your life he has a wonderful plan for you you just need to trust him... "For i know the plans i have for you, Declares the Lord, Plans to benefit and to help you, not to harm you, when you call on me i will answer you..." (Jeremiah 29:11)
God loves you soo much and he's got you in His hands you just have to surrender those things in your life to Him that hinder you from a great relationship with Him...
