Yeah, so nowhere in the Bible does it say that women can't have an epidural. The Bible is also written by imperfect people-- NOT GOD. It makes me want to cry. Pregnant women-- the givers of ALL HUMANITY-- the givers of the very a88holes who are saying this bullcrap--- shouldn't they be pampered? treated with as much respect and comfort as possible? it is, after all, our decision whether or not to continue humanity's existence...

This is not my mate. I know and love my mate and he knows and loves me... and knows and loves my love for epidurals.. haha. I'm talking about the guys on Yahoo answers, the faceless cowards who couldn't get a wife because they are stuck in the 1500s.

No where can it be found in the Bible that God is against being treated for pain. Matter of fact the opposite. he said 'using the herbs for the good of man.' the non-man-made formulas , like aspirin, & valium, comes from herbs. st.john's wart, is a depression drug.

God knew man would need these things. there is pain, there is suffering, ever since Adam ate of the forbidden fruit. so there lies the culprit. Adam.

tell them that!!

& yes , the authors of the worlds most popular book, were unlearned men. but that's what so amazing ..they all wrote of the same common salvation in all different times. Interesting , huh?

You tell those 1500's people, check up on their Lord. HE even said"a little wine to soothe thy often infirmities". Not meaning to be drunk w/wine, but to be eased. *( he also made water into wine.)

I completly agree. No where in the bible does it say that Natural Birth is a must. I think the couple should have a manture conversation before the decision is made and come to an agreement. And overall it is ultimatly the women's decision, I mean she is the one having the baby not the man.

Hey! Kick the guy out of the room! He ain't the one having the kid! Maybe feed him some magnesium citrate so he can poop his brains out and get just an inkling of an idea how those labor pains just might feel! Then offer him an Imodium AD if it gets too rough and he doesn't wanna cramp up and poop anymore. What do you think he'll do?

What Christian guys say this?

I say, you really should discuss your mate's feelings about things like this BEFORE you get pregnant and become attached to the person for life.

It's not necessarily just "chritian guys." But the real fools are the women who listen. If they have the choice to dull the pain and they don't take that choice, that's their fault not some man's.

...because God has never made them poop out a bowling-ball-sized object. I'm sure that if he did, it would be an integral part of their doctrine.

They will have undoubtedly changed their minds...
