PLEASE ONLY PEOPLE WHO ARE RIGHT WITH THE LORD... I'm wondering about ouija boards... whats up with them?

Ouija Boards are an occult device. They are not toys. They are used to tell the future and communicate with the dead, which is referred to in the Bible as necromancy.

Later on, in Deuteronomy, the 18th chapter, God says, "When you enter the land that God, your God, is giving you, don't take on the abominable ways of life of the nations there. Don't you dare sacrifice your son or daughter in the fire. Don't practice divination, sorcery, fortunetelling, witchery, casting spells, holding seances, or channeling with the dead. People who do these things are an ABOMINATION to God. It's because of just such abonimable practices that God, your God, is driving these nations out before you." (The Message Bible)

This should answer your question. I hope that you don't play around with these things. God is not mocked. He tells us in His word that He will repay.

Okay there are a LOT of answers here but anyways.
I'm a christian teen also.
I think if your not comfortable with them do not use them.
Of what I know about them they are real but they might release and evil spirit or demon.
but actually yesterday me and a couple of my friends used this thing kinda similiar to a ouija board but it's called a Psychic Circle.
It went really really well. Umm me and my 3 friends (2 girls 1 boy) used it for about 2 hours.
I met my angel guardian. We asked questions, mostly personal but there was this one question that was "what is one thing in this room that only one person knows of" and it said a gun. And it was right. Also only 1 bad spirit came (of about 6) and it's name was lutheran and all it did was keep going towards all the girls. It was a very interesting experience. Nothing bad happened AT ALL. I think if you were interested in using a ouija board then use a psychic circle instead.
I am a true christian.
And the one of the spirits that cmae out (my angel guardian) even told us if we are going to heaven or not. It's really cool. Go google it!!!

There is nothing evil about Ouija boards.

Ouija boards are just another way to communicate with the other side. Or spirits that might be living in your home.

What you have to be careful of is the fact that if you one aren't in the right mind, two aren't careful you can open a door to the other side and leave it open and allow other unnice things to come trhough.

The best advice I can give you is to === stay away from it???
Don't you know that= from Ouija Board; what you'll get are only bad spirits and since you know nothing about that, they'll cling to you and I mean it! Beware that, afterwards, you'll have heavy company and; more and more... They won't be your friends and you won't be able to get rid of them!
Don't take chances with this. Being a teen, you want to explore; it's natural. Try and choose some less dangerous, this is for your own sake!

There's no evil, but they can misguide you or be dangerous. There are other non-ouija spirit boars that tend to attract a better type of spirit. The boards you buy at the store are almost useless. You should make it yourself. There is no sin in using them, you just have to have a discerning mind.

hmm quick french lesson oui (pronounced "we") means yes and ja (pronounced "ge")mean no, im fairly sure of this. most extreme christian look at the ouija board as an instrument of the devil because it was used to contact the dead and other spirits, possibly demons or even the devil himself (something christians are not allowed to do under their dogma) i would advise not using one or trying to contact any spirit unless you are truely ready for any outcome, some of which could be both scary and dangerous, all spirits are may not be friendly, some may be out and out deadly and malevolent, we don't play on a busy highway in traffic because that would be dangerous, playing with spirits is similar.

Some things are best left alone. The occult is where the devil entices unsuspecting souls by such practices as fortune telling. This is the purpose of the Ouija Board. If you are indeed a Child of God, then you will accept the fact that it is a tool that at least is a false diversion for superstitious people and at worst is the real deal and can land your life in Hell.

This is shown by what the Christian disciple Luke wrote:"A certain servant girl with a spirit, a demon of divination, met us. She used to furnish her master with much gain by practicing the art of prediction." The apostle Paul was able to free the girl from the power of this wicked spirit, and she was no longer able to fortell the future(Acts16/;16-19).
Many persons are interested in spiritism because it is mysterious and strange. It fascinates them. So they become involved with witchcraft, voodooism, hypnotism, magic, astrology, Ouija boards or something else connected with spiritism. They may read books about these things, go to movies, or watch tv programs about them. They may even go to a meeting where a medium seeks to contact the spirit world. But all of this is unwise for a person who wants to serve the true God. It is also dangerous. It can lead to trouble now. Also God will judge and cast away from him all practicer's of spiritism(Revelation22:15).
Even when a person does all he/she can to keep free from spiritism, he/she may still come under attack by wicked spirits. Recall that the voice of the devil himself was heard by Jesus Christ, tempting him to break God's law(Matthew4:8,9)Other servants of God have such attacks. The apostle Paul said: "We have a wrestling....against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places." This means that every servant of God must take up the complete suit of armor from God that he may be able to resist.(Ephesians6:11-13)
What should you do if a voice pretends to be a dead relative or a good spirit? Well what did Jesus do when the ruler of the demons spoke to him?(Matthew9:34) He said:"Go away satan!"(Matthew4:10) You can do that too. Also you can call on Jehovah for help. Pray out loud and use God's name. Remember he is more powerful that are wicked spirits. Do not listen to such voices from the spirit world
