If you ever visit an orphanage, you'll witness so many children longing for happy homes. They actually run toward you, hugging you. Why add another to the world when you can provide for one?

I personally think that infertility is a sign that you should be adopting. Some people aren't supposed to have biological children, they're supposed to take a child who wants parents as they're a parent who wants a child. I agree with you.

I honestly think that the cost should not be the deciding factor. Go with your gut. If you are one of those people that feel you must have a biological child, then by all means use the fertility clinic, but if not there are so many children out there that need good homes and you have love to give then you should adopt. Either way you go will be costly and raising children is also expensive, but worth every penny. Either way will also be emotionally draining so talk with your partner often and make sure that you both stay on the same page and remember to support each other. What ever you choose to do, GOOD LUCK and cherish each minute of being a parent, it goes by so quickly!

That is a really good question. I would rather go through the costs of infertility treatment. My answer is just based on simple sentiments and I would really give the question a lot more thought if I was in the same situation. I often hear stories where a woman has quintuplets and things like that, but a doctor may tell you that that is a very rare occurrence.
I can say that I have know many couple who have adopted and they have had great success with adoption.

If I couldn't have kids and I had this choice, I would adopt. I wouldn't wasted money that I could keep to provide for a child that needs a mom and daddy to raise it. Even though I would die to have my own child, I would suspect that maybe I was meant to not have children so that I could provide a home for so many others that need one.
I'm 16 and still virgin so I don't know whether or not I can have kids. I guess I'll find out sooner or later when I marry.
Hope This Helped. :-)

Some people want their own biological children. It is a strong desire for some people. For these people, facing the cost is not a problem. I wouldn't do it but it's not really an either/or situation that your question implies it is. It's not either do fertility treatments or adopt. People who can afford fertility treatments usually have enough money to do both if that's what they want.

Peace,
Jenn

The truth is, the adoption process can often be longer more intrusive and more costly than IVF and this puts people off. A sad fact that needs to be adjusted to make it more possible for more people to adopt with greater ease.

I guess it depends on the person.

There are those who want to experience the miracle of giving birth and having a child which is biologically their own.

Then there are those who would simply like a child to love and care for, but are not as concerned if they are the biological parents.

I dont think one is really going to end up being more expensive than the other. It isnt cheap to adopt to begin with. They dont hand out kids to all who ask. And a lot of fertility treatments are covered by insurance.
