My father has gout. I've heard that drinking cranberry juice helps, and that eating any red berry in general helps.

Don't eat any organ food like liver etc.
Get to the Doc and he/she will give prescription for the gout

If it's truly gout, a physician can prescribe a drug called allopurinol that will control it, but not cure it.
