Wait for marriage, it will make it much more meaningful.

Stop right there. Think birth control before you go any further. After that then I find that anytime is the best time....as long as it isnt right after some traumatic moment. Try the next time you guys are watching a movie together. And as was said before you really should be proud; nowadays some people dont even make it half that long, and if you think you can then just wait till the wedding day. It seems thats not the only thing that he's been thinking about, so I take it you found a great guy. Congrats!

You should have had this talk a long time ago. Sex is important in a relationship. I understand that the two of you have been together since you were children so it sounds as though there's a mutual understanding.

You should be comfortable enough with him by now to talk about anything. Bring it up now. If you don't feel comfortable even mentioning it than you are obviously not ready for the action.

Whenever u are ready for it. Don't rush it things like that will come within a matter of time its jus how u feeling about it. If u are u ready for it let him know. Im sure he would love to here that. But if ur not ready jus take some time or wait until u get married.

if you;ve been dating for 4 years and he's not a virgin did he cheat on you.

you can have sex whenever you want.

and to the person who said when your married- 95% of people have sex by the age of 17.4 so this person is being responsible by even taking time to talk about it..

OMG! How did you keep him off you for four years! Never mind, I dont want to know. You never said if marriage is a requirement or not, if not, just tell him you are ready for the next level in your relationship, he will take it from there, if marriage is a requirement he knows what he has to do to get the prize sweetie!

Surely, after four years you've discussed the possibly of having sex with him, haven't you? Well, tell him what you just told us, for heaven's sake.

Tell him, "These panties aren't going to take themselves off!" if you want to skip the awkward parts.

4 years ... so he lost his virginity at 14?

well ease into it. alcohol can be your friend. wear protection. bring lubrication ... rubber sheets or a towel would be good. will hurt at first ... but it gets better and better.

just tell him.
