i know you cant give blood with piercings and tats in the first year but i am not sure if its always, if your unsure check a give blood site and it will tell you the conditions

tattoos do hurt but i believe they're worth it.
the risk is making sure you choose something that you know you will like and wont affect relationships and job opportunities later on.

You can't give blood for the first year that you have a tattoo...then after that it's fine.

Some of the risks however are infection, allergy to the ink, a sucky tattoo artist and the chance that you will later regret it.

I got a tattoo this past summer. It was uncomfortable, but not extremely painful. I must say that the closer the needle is to bone, the more painful it becomes.

As far as giving blood, you may not donate for 12 months. After that, you can donate again.

It hurts, you can get infections and hepatitis (reason they won't let you give blood). Also, they are with you for life. Think before you do this, it isn't a good idea. Employers are not happy with hiring someone tattooed either, so that can interfere with your ability to make a living.
