Wellbutrin is an anti depressant (sounds like she could use one anyways) that curbs the appetite. It is also used in some cases to aid in recovery from addictions to crystal meth, which you stated in another question.
I don't like to advise people to go to a doctor for a specific drug, but this sounds like you could kill a few birds with one stone here, or with a similar drug.
See a doctor with her, and good luck to you both!!

Drugs that speed you up like Ritalin make your heart beat faster and that is very hard on your heart over time. I had a cousin on Adderrall for a long time for narcolepsy and she had a heart attack face down and without oxygen for awhile, she now has permanent brain damage ...

Ritalin (methylphenidate) is a stimulant similar to Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts) and methamphetamine. It is a stimulant, and can act as an appetite suppressant.

Bad idea. That kind of eating has a heavy emotional component that needs to be addressed, usually in therapy. They are using food to make them feel better when stressed.

i have heard that ridilin or adderal is often perscribed to bulimics to keep them from binging. but i am not 100% sure that a doctor would prescribe this, or that a bulimic would just take these medications to try and lose weight.
