As you may know tires are made of petroleum. With oil prices so high it makes sense that a fat tire, a tire larger than average would be more expensive. When the price of oil comes down I am sure that the price of Fat Tire will moderate.

Microbrews are generally more expensive than megabrews because the smaller breweries don't get get the same volume discounts as the bigger ones. Distribution is another cost factor. Budweiser has one of the biggest distribution systems in the world; they have thousands of their employees delivering their beer. The small breweries use outside shippers which cost more.

And 8.49 is cheaps for a sixpack of good beer.

All microbrewers run about the same price. But if your from CA its a bit more expensive because it has taken so long for it to become available here.

Oh, dont keep it to long (if you already bought it) because it has a tendency to go bad quickly due to that it is not pasturized.

Enjoy your beer and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Fat Tire is a microbrewery known for using higher quality ingredients and being environmentally friendly. Both of these factors contribute to increased cost.

where are you buying it? if it is far away from the brewery, then of course it is going to be expensive. the fat tire brewery is very smal, and has limited amounts.

It is so expensive because some people are dumb enough to pay that price.
