That is only 6 hrs of sleep. That is not enough!!!!! you need 8-10 hrs atleast. you need not to drink coffee, soda or any caffine after 400pm so that is run its course before you need to sleep. if you have cut out the caffine and extra things like being on the phone all night, and you still can not sleep you should go to the Dr.

Go to sleep! Did you know that it's programmed in younger people (say, 13-25 or so) to actually go to bed later and wake up later? We're not lazy, it's just biologically how it works! It's not your fault.. blame it on the system. Schooling at 7am for someone your age is ridiculous. The youngest students should go to school first, because they are programmed for a go to bed/get up early schedule, whereas older (but young) people are programmed to be the 3am-noon! Sadly, if you want to get through the day without falling asleep, I do suggest trying to go to bed earlier. And petition your school for starting later, research and cite these facts about older students having this sleep schedule... it can happen... the school district over from ours had students petition and actually had it changed! Their High School now starts at 9am, the elementary school at 7! The power is all in your hands. Good Luck babe!
EDIT: Who gave me a thumbs down? It's been proved by medical evidence multiple times, as I've seen many times throughout my college career thus far as a psychology major with a concentration in young adults.

That is a problem. At 13 I think you need like 9 hours of sleep. We go through REM cycles and there is a certain number of cycles we must go through in order to complete the process and feel well rested. Bottom line: you need more sleep. You might not feel any direct side effects but you are being affected whether its concentration and memory, things like that which you might not think are sleep related but they all are

Sorry you need around 9 to 10 hours of sleep a night. Talk to your parents about it, if thats not possible you can see a health professional for advise, or call kids help line for some directions to who might be able to assist you locally.
Be safe kid!

Teens need more sleep than any age group. Bad idea to go to bed that late, you are losing valuable sleep for your growing body. Do you have a hard time getting to sleep, is that the problem?

your growing body needs at least 8 hours of sleep. If you don't get enough rest ,your brain won't function correctly. Are you depressed or just upset over general things that are stressing you out ,like school or girls.talk to your doctor or someone you really trust.Maybe they can help you sort out this problem.
good luck,sleep is very important

Um me I guess. You need to do alot of stuff during the day, so you will be tired at night. This is actually, not bren it's keri.I like to listen to music, and stuff, but try not to nap during the day, or u will be up all night.Avoid caffiene at night (duh..)
But I think it is somewhat normal.

usually, teens grow frm 11 at nyt to 2am.
but still, the best way is to sleep at 9 and wake up at 7 .
if they sleep too late, they might not grow
