Grace and peace to you From God the Father and the Lord Jesus the Christ. If you really believe that people have changed the Bible over time, then you will not believe my answer, because it comes out of the Bible. The book of the Gospel of John verse 1-5, tells us, In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. and the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. From these words we see that Jesus, who is called the word, is clearly called by the writer, God. We have to becareful here because I believe that a person should read the whole book so that the information is not taken out of context. But lets take a look at what the book of Colossians chapter 2 verses 8&9 has to say about Jesus, Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. See this is plainly saying Jesus is God. But as I said at the start, how can you believe me if you think that people have changed the Bible over time. If that was so true, then how and why would you trust the koran, it has been in the hand of people too. So let me ask you, has that been changed at any time? Well I hope that you will read these books of the Bible for yourself and then pray and make a decision about it after you do those things. Peace

Jesus was fully God AND fully man. Jesus was both God and man at the same time. That is because Jesus had no earthly/human father Jesus father was God the Holy Spirit. Jesus did have a human mother--Mary. This made Him both God and man. As a man He could die, He could eat, drink, use the toilet, feel pain, bleed, and more. One reason Jesus did this was to show that He knew and felt what being a man was like and to know what human rejection was like too. Those are all part of His human aspects. But Jesus was also fully God. As fully God, Jesus didn't have to die but He did it willingly to save us from sin. As God, Jesus didn't stay dead.

Try to understand this:
Hebrews 2
14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. 16 For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants. 17 For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. 18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

Our belief is that only his body died, his spirit went through death and hell, but never stopped living.
God cannot die.
