I have been having this happen lately. I will go to swallow something and my throat freezes up. I will get ready and then try to swallow and it's like the mechanism for swallowing in my throat won't work and I sit there panicking cause I cant swallow nor can I breath. I am stuck. Scares the crap out of me. Anyone have this happen? Why?

Start keeping track of which foods cause this. You'll see that only a few do cause that to happen. You have trouble digesting these foods.
Next time you see your doctor be sure to mention this. :)

The same thing has been happening to me for about a month. The food gets stuck in my throat or chest too usually. I dunno if that happens to you. It's like the swallowing mechanism is broken or something. It happend to me after i became really exhausted and dehydrated one day and it never went away. I went to the doctors and they tried to tell me it's anxiety but i don't think they know much of ****. they are a horrible hospital.

Have your Thyroid check, this happened to me when mine was swollen and it hurt like HECK! Put your hand on the middle of your neck and swallow, does it gurgle?

swollen lymph notes or glands ..you could have something wrong with your throat even an allergic reaction go to a doctor
