I'm no saint..and i don't ask for anything for me...but once in awhile i get a bit overwhelmed by the day to day grind and would like a little comfort...all my prayers go unanswered...i pray for an end to violence..for the poor and hungry...for those who are in need..but it seems to be all for naught....but if you read this...I hope you are happy and in good health...I pray that God is well and not too displeased with us....I even pray the Devil has a good day once in awhile....

God does answer you, but sometimes we don't notice. He can talk to us in many ways, by dreams, thought, or by what we see. Never lose your faith, one day you will hear him.

firstly, only a fool would wish well for the devil, because his mission is to bring you down with him.

second, you can't just pray for something and expect it to come to pass. you must pray within the will of God... if you know it is something God would want for you, then pray for it. also there is no such thing as a prayer unanswered, only prayers not answered in the manner we wish.

third, your prayers can't counter God's purpose... yes, even in the midst of hell God is performing His perfection. who are you to pray away what He is orchestrating? yes it may be a struggle, but pure dependance upon your maker makes your relationship with Him that much more personal and sweeter.

four, how do you know God isn't speaking to you? i would say before you go around saying God is silent, you should open His tome full of answers. open up His word and listen as the Spirit slices at your heart with His words. if you've done that and still cannot hear, ask God to open your ears... seriously, no joke, show desire, if it pleases God and i garauntee you that knowing His word is His desire for you, he will fulfill it.

There is your problem. Hoping the devil has a good probably doesn't help your relationship with God. As a matter of fact, I seriously doubt you even have one with Him. First to get your prayers heard you have to accept jesus as your Savior. Believe He was born of a virgin, shed His blood for you on the cross, died and rose again and is coming back again. Then and ONLY then will God hear your prayers. He deals with His family way differently than He does with His other creation.

Your prayers go unanswered because there are no gods to hear them. Read the information at the links below, and you'll understand.

Prayer Does Not Work. Sorry.
Once again, it's all in your mind..

[Excerpt]

"In a long-awaited comprehensive scientific study on the effects of intercessory prayer on the health and recovery of 1,802 patients undergoing coronary bypass surgery in six different hospitals, prayers offered by strangers had no effect. In fact, contrary to common belief, patients who knew they were being prayed for had a higher rate of post-operative complications such as abnormal heart rhythms, possibly the result of anxiety caused by learning that they were being prayed for and thus their condition was more serious than anticipated."

Jesus didn't come for peace on Earth. If someone does come saying that he/she is bringing peace on Earth, watch out because peace on Earth can easily be ruined by some fool wanting power. But anyway, you are insanely blessed, we all are. Imagine the gifts in Heaven. This world may not seem fair all of the time, but God's in charge of everything... remember the lilies of the field? Plus it's probably a good thing that the way that God talks to us is via the Bible. Now you know if God actually talked to you, you'd be scared, trying to run for your momma, about to urinate your pants, and hiding under your bed. :)

A prayer is not going to end all violence.
Why?
There is too much evil.
It might, however, stop one violent act. Or help one hungry person. Give a poor family money.

He IS answering your prayers, just not the way you are wanting them to be answered.

Instead, try praying for instuctions as to what YOU can do to help the problems. Pray for guidance, and you will receive it my friend.

God Bless

People who pray for observable but impossible changes in the world are often the ones who figure out that they are actually atheist or agnostic. In other words, people who want everything from God often must reject the notion outright.

Christians, in order to remain honestly Christian, have to accept the world how it is, selectively attributing ONLY the good things in the world to God or Jesus, and attributing the bad to either a departure from Them, or a mixed, strange, misunderstood divine agenda.

If you would like God to speak to you, David, try reading His word. God speaks to me all the time, but it is usually through the Bible, a sermon or something I hear or read. I doubt that very many people have experienced "burning bush" moments when God speaks to them audibly and directly.

Try conversational prayer. Talk to God like He is your friend. After all, what He says He wants from us is a relationship. When you talk to your best friend, I bet you aren't looking for the end to violence, feeding the hungry, meeting the needs of others, etc. You talk about what's going on with YOU.

Number one, in order to have a relationship with God, you must ask Him into your life. The simple prayer, "Jesus, I know I have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. I know that You came into the world to save me. I believe in You and I want You to come into my heart and forgive my sins, be that friend that sticks closer than a brother, and teach me to walk in Your ways.", will open up a relationship with God.

Find a Bible Study, get involved, and begin to study God's Word. He will lead, guide and direct your paths. He will begin to speak to your heart and mind and His Word will comfort you. You will know peace that passes any form of human understanding.

God be with you. You are in my prayers.

well friend there is an answer for a question.we are praying to God and we are going on and going on praying. In the bible i think there are these words: "those who suffers till the last get saved." well if we take the meaning of these in a different view it gives us a message that those who pray to him and wait for him till the end will get a good result. Continue praying as it's for the good of the world. MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I will not tell you that god does or doesn't exist because I have no way of proving it, but do believe their is a higher being in the universe that channels itself through us in a way. I have been practicing zen buddhism for about three months now and whenever I meditate and everything is so quiet that nothing exists anymore. While I meditate I begin to feel as though someone else is in my heart and mind, and I believe that this presence is my Chi or part of the higher presence enbedded in all life. I never communicate with this being, I just acknowledge it's presence and keep on meditating. I feel that you can't just pray to a god or higher being to make everything better for you. You have to do it yourself. I hope you find your way in life and I genuinly hope that you do speak to god someday.

Because God wants you to figure out that "he" wants you to partner with him in doing good to fix the world....and when you do good deeds, you will feel the hint quietly within that tells you that you are onto a powerful wonderful thing. If we act like God and care for others, we discover that we are allies with God and that feeling is the answer you are waiting to hear. Hold onto that desire for peace, etc. and don't be discouraged....it takes all of us and faith.
And I am not Christian by the way....to all those readers who think they are going to save the world.
