I absolutely do not feel my personal religious beliefs make me superior to anyone. I am so not turned on by anyone who does feel superior.
I use to believe that people were not inherently better than anyone else, that we each are as good as the next. However, over the years that opinion was deeply tarnished by life events.
For me, people who are kind, giving, understanding, compassionate, non-judgemental, and whom do not hate on others are better than those who are unkind, lack understanding, lack compassion, envious, hate mongers, and myriad other negative behaviors and attitutes towards others.
I am sometimes tired from the deep level of hate and jealousy in this world, and the utter lack of compassion towards our fellow human's. I get sick of listening to the news and seeing how horrific people treat one another.
Then, I read or see a story of great import. Of people who go to great lengths to help others, who take the time and effort to do good works. I do not mean "good works" as ordered by certain religions, as those are forced and come not from a truly giving heart. It is about building up points with God and that turns me off. No, it is those who give without cause, who help without expectation of return, whom I find most heartening and good.

No, I don't believe my religion is for everyone and I don't believe mine is superior to someone else's. I do think the lack of trying to convert everyone is a plus over some other religions.

I'm sure people will deny that but I seriously think it does for some people. Why else would they make religious elitist comments like:
Oh, you'll be proved wrong (about God). Then it'll be too late when you're roasting in hell.
Or some other intangible threat about suffering.
A LOT of people here have God complexes and constantly love to sentence people to hell. Read any debate question and some ahole will do so.

No. My religion teaches that we are all equal.
Am I turned on by people in my religion who think they are superior? Absolutely not. It's an obnoxious trait (and I think they are missing the point)

No, I do not consider myself better because of my faith in the Lord. Non-believers tend to think that people of faith are judge mental for following the Lord and spreading the good news of the power of the Lord to forgive us from our sins and to change our life from the inside out. We get to be a witness to the Lord's work inside us. This "work" happens not by our own doing but from the Lord.
without taking that first step of faith one may never know God exists.

Nope. My theological ideas dont give me delusions of granduer. The thing is to fight your own ego. It's good to be confident, but arrogence begats some nasty stuff.

No, it is just the opposite. It has humbled me. I did nothing to deserve my salvation. It was all God's doing and all for His honor and glory. I have absolutely nothing to boast about.

actually when i was young and dumb it did. But i finally realized to never feel superior when it comes to the afterlife. Nobody knows, we can all make our assumptions. No one can feel superior when it comes to mysteries
