Its hard to make them see, isn't it? Its like you've found a treasure and you are standing among a crowd of poverty stricken people saying, here, come! I want to share with you! You don't have to be poor! You can have all you need! Please, let me share with you!
And they look around and compare themselves with all the poor people and say, "Hey, I'm not poor! Everyone is wearing the same rags and eating the same scraps! Quit insulting me!"

As Christians, it is not our place to force others to believe as we do.
To force people to believe in our philosophies, religions, ways of life, etc. would be to demand the impossible.
It is our duty to "tell" people, but I believe that we "tell" other people the truth in our actions and how we live our lives.
We can't do it by quoting a bunch of scripture that Christians understand, but everyone else finds abstract.
A good example of this is when I went to a Bible study, and someone, with a pseudo-philosophical tone, said "The Will of God is the Word of God." This is abstraction to people who are not Christians. Abstract meaning that the sentence that he uttered could be understood in Many different ways by many different people. In fact I guarantee that even the various sects of Christianity would argue on the meaning of the sentence he uttered.
In other words, preaching is not necessarily the best method for spreading the word.

I understand you telling about him once, but I don't understand why some of you nag them. That does nothing but drive them away from him. I've even had some of you people talk to me like I was an idiot that doesn't know him and he and I are like two peas in a pod. What part of 'personal relationship with GOD' do you not understand? He didn't use anyone to lead C.S. Lewis to him, and he was an avowed atheist. Some things GOD does for himself. Do you ever ask him if that is what he wants you to do??? And if you'd read your bible you will find that there are some people who GOD has deliberately made deaf and blind to his wisdom. Aren't you tempting GOD when you try to force him on them? Did you know that GOD can't be tempted? Neither does he tempt any man. But those who present a stumbleblock to one of his children it would be better that a millstone be hung around his neck and he be cast into the sea....

The thing is everyone one, whether they believe in god or not, BELIEVES they are telling the truth. The main difference is non-believers based their truth on facts supported by history, science, and common sense (which also includes the bible). Believers base their truth on faith (the idea and hope that what they believe in is true). I'm not sure why believers "try" to get unbelievers to believe, maybe it's an ego thing.

I believe in a higher being but i am not sure there is really hard proof of him everday. Alot of things can be explained better by science.
I know you just want people to believe what you do because you think it is right but what you have to understand is others believe what they believe is the truth too. One of the best things about being human is our level of freedom and our ability to think for oursleves.
I think everyone, in order to have faith. Has to have faith in what they believe.
I hope this helps you.

Yes , you are very right to say "we see proof every day that he is real",
For the unbelievers , they are deceived by logic ,
Glorious Qur`an says ,
"2:6. As to those who reject Faith, it is the same to them whether thou warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe.
2:7. Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur).
8. Of the people there are some who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day;" but they do not (really) believe.
9. Fain would they deceive Allah and those who believe, but they only deceive themselves, and realize (it) not!
10. In their hearts is a disease; and Allah has increased their disease: And grievous is the penalty they (incur), because they are false (to themselves).
11. When it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "Why, we only Want to make peace!"
12. Of a surety, they are the ones who make mischief, but they realize (it) not.
13. When it is said to them: "Believe as the others believe:" They say: "Shall we believe as the fools believe?" Nay, of a surety they are the fools, but they do not know.

Then you know the answer to your own question, sister. We try to convert non-believers out of concern for their souls. Whether or not we're successful, we're laying up treasures in Heaven just by trying. Some of us are "ordained", but we're all supposed to be ministers to our fellow man. Lead by example. His peace to you this season, & in the coming year. (Look for some of my answers in this category for more details.)

Well, Jesus wants us to tell people. If you tell a million people about Christ, even if some don't listen, there may be even one person of them all that will have eternal salvation... thanks to you. Jesus was prosecuted much more than being laughed at or mocked, so I see it as a blessing that I have to tell others about someone who died on the cross for all of the world instead of actually having to die on the cross... cause I probably wouldn't do it to tell you the truth. Those nails could have given me Tetanus.

Well, you asked a question, and then you answered it yourself, didn't you? So what's left for me to say?
Except: If people disagree with you, it doesn't mean they hate you.
Be well, and have a happy holiday season.
