Likely not. Usually after an accident, the worst pain is 2-4 days after the accident. You're well beyond that window.

People will believe whatever they want themselves too.. most of the answers here are uneducated.

The simple answer is- no.. or atleast very unlikely.

Most motor vehicle accidents injuries set in the next day (just like if you worked out... you would feel the pain the next day)

Sure.. a doctor will tell you its accident related... they need some way to take your money.

But there is absolutely no reason why you wouldnt feel the pain for 12 days. You must have did something to it in the last day or two.

Most likely not.

With car wrecks - your going to feel the pain usually with in the next day or so. Your body is good about letting you know when it does not feel good.

Think about it....do you get a cold and not have symptoms until 2 weeks after you got the cold?

If you go to the gym and over do it - do your muscles wait two weeks to start hurting?

If you work in the yard, does the stiffness start with in 24 hours or does it wait two weeks to set in?

I slept bad last night - woke up this morning with a stiff neck. It did not wait two weeks to kick in - let me know right away.

If I spend too much time hunched over the computer -my neck and shoulders start to hurt that day - does not wait two weeks to kick in.

In my humble opinion, most likely the cause of your pain is something else you did in the mean time.

Yes, sometimes you do not realize you are hurt as the pain does not start for a couple of days. Go to DR. fast as they only give you a couple of days or they can say it was not from accident.

Very much so. It can take some time for the injured tissue and muscle to swell. Swelling causes pressure that causes pain. You may have also ruptured a disc that will worsen without treatment. You need seek both medical and legal assistance.

Yes. Delayed symptoms after a motor vehicle accident are very common. You definitely want to see a specialist for a thorough evaluation and proper treatment. (Note: drugs do NOT treat injuries - they only mask symptoms - consequently, drugs are NOT effective treatment.) It may be wise to schedule an evaluation with your family Chiropractor.

Best wishes and good luck.
