Some of us unbelievers don't want to become believers. So I think you're on to something.

Just let us be unbelievers. If we're going to Hell, it's our own choice. I don't believe in Hell (except the metaphorical Hell on Earth), personally, so I don't think I'll be going there. But if I am, you have to let me make that choice.

Someone answered with Ezekiel 3, which is the best response. I would only add the following:

The darkness rejects the light because their deeds are evil(John 3:19-20). You forget the fact that the LIGHT STILL MUST SHINE. The darkness will never overcome it.

Someone once said 'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results.' The 'church', in probably what you understand it to be, has failed because it has not removed its own darkness, so the blind continue to try to lead the blind. The only chance we all have is to RETURN to the ONE GOD OF Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, through His Son Yahshua, to understand YHWH's will. That is where the true light is.
Matt 24:12: Because SIN ABOUNDS, the love of many will WAX COLD. Make sure you don't fall into this category.

I think on this forum it is the agnostics and atheists who are saving the christians. Most of what I have seen from the non-believers is logical and sensible arguments why it is not realistic to believe there is some sort of deity who is interested in anyone personally. All the arguments I have seen from the Christians is such things as "I have Faith" or " I believe" or long extracts from the bible which is just a bit of fuzzy and doubtful history together with some myths and a lot of downright lies. I don't think any atheists are interested in saving anybody we would just like the religious influence removed from the legal framework of our country. For instance we still have a law of blasphemy. How ridiculous is that

First of all who is the "we" YOU are referring to?
I suggest unless you and your entire church are sitting at your computer writing these questions & answers that you refrain from phrasing questions with a "WE".

and yes
the very definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and each time expecting different results.

May I also bring to light ... that the best way to attract bees is with honey.
Live a LIFE that is an example of your beliefs and it will attract those who want to hear how your religion has influenced that result.

Unless someone has asked you directly what you believe

Preaching is just plain RUDE

so an answer to your question....Yes you are wasting your time and being rude in the process....not to mention really annoying.

I mean come on, flip it around and think of something that you don't want to discuss or something you already have a strong opinion on.
Now imagine someone constantly trying to talk to you about it.
Would that "change " your mind or just piss you off?

I'm not trying to SAVE anyone, sweetie. I'm just being obedient to God and spreading the Gospel. He does all the saving. BTW; predestination is a twisting of the Scriptures. GOD says, 2 Peter 3:9; "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

If you're looking for something to GAIN, you need to get your heart right with the Lord!

Dear Truth 6,
I do not need you to save me.
Jesus did a really good job of it the first time around.
Sooo... Unless you, and/or the extream right wing Rev Fred Phelps are ready to replase him on the hunk of lumber beside the road, you need to stop telling us all how you do the better job of saving the world.
Marry Christmas,

Rebecca gave and exellent answer in quoting Eze 3 however I would like to add the following scripture.

Romans 10:13-17 For whoever will call upon the name of The Lord will be saved. How then shall they call upon HIm in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? and how shall they preach unless they are sent?Just as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tiding of good things.

However, they did not all heed the glad tidings for Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our report?

So faith comes from the hearing and the hearing by the word of Messiah.

There are two types of ministry.

There is personal testimony where one relates to his relationship with God.

Then there is preaching from the Word. Unfortunately, the zeal that is used to communicate Scripture is not tempered by taking into account the audience receiving the message.

Bad habits ensue and the caged mouse on the treadmill comes to life.

Christians can't "save" anyone. If you believed the bible was true and that there was a god, then you would know according to your own faith and doctrine that jesus died for sins, not christians. Maybe that's why there is so much corruptions in your faith and churches. You all don't fully understand the very book you claim to believe.
