Well you will just have to get someone to send off your note while you are in basic training you should not have a problem paying it yourself once you are in tech school. You can always join now and say you don't want to leave until may. Instead of joining in May and waiting another 6 months to leave. Also check out the soldiers and sailors relief act and see if it applied to you.

Why not join the Army man? You start getting paid when you arrive a Basic Training. You can have the payments come straight from you pay or send checks or whatever you choose. The Army offers up to $40,000 bonus and college money up to $73,836. So you can't really go wrong no matter what you choose. Do it before you talk your way out of it. Which it seems like that is what you are doing already.

I should have done the Army, I agree with the other statement. Along with all that cash that is given to you JUST for enlisting, with the Army you only have to enlist for a min. of two years. This is a great idea for first term people , because the first 6 months you will b in boot camp and tech school and such so you will have 1.5 years actually in the military ( great amount of time to see if it is what you really want). Also, if at that time you decide that maybe the Army isn't for you, you can transfer to the Air Force, or the AF reserve or Army reserve (all great options) :)

You can join now or later, the car should not be a factor on when you want to serve. In fact if your interst is high join now and the bank will be forced to lower it!!! check it out just yahoo search this or google it. The Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act (SSCRA)!!

I know the AF stops taking people at age 28, so if this is what you really want to do begin doing your research now..
ALOT of people have bills when they join the military , long as you are not in heavy debit you will be fine..its not paying your bills that will mess you up badly.
Good luck

You wanna be a fool by playing the Man's game? Fighting a war for what??? Can't you see you and thousands of other lower earners are being used by the rich to keep you poor, maybe DEAD??? Don't feed the Machine!! Your car debt has nothing to do with the larger picture ....

Only you can judge what is best for you right now. The car payment will be taken care of with allotments from your paycheck while you are in training and on to your first assignment.

If you want to join now, you can sell your car and pay it off....or wait. It's up to you. They take new recruits all the time.....so you're not missing anything by waiting.

(The military) (LOOK AT WHERE THE TOPIC WAS POSTED) Enroll now. It's not like you'll get shipped out right away. Get the process started ASAP if you're truly interested. You won't stay young forever.
