This is an article I found on naming your pug. Even though I think pugsly is cute.
So you want to know the best pug name for your dog? Well it's funny really because most people go for the boring old 'pugsly'. This article will go through all the methods of finding the best and most unique pug name possible so that your friends and neighbors will be asking you "where did you come up with that great name?"
The first thing we need to know about finding the best pug name is the fact that pugs first originated from China. Therefore if you take a look at the line from where your pug came from, you will be able to determine the part of China where your pug came from. This method is often used so you have to be careful if you want to find a unique pug name.
What has become extremely popular over the last couple of years, are Japanese names. If you know much about Japanese, you will know that every letter in their alphabet has several meanings. I think people just like having their pug name in Japanese because it sounds almost mystifying to someone who doesn't know Japanese.
The last and probably the best place to find a pug name is to search on the internet. In fact there are many sites online that are solely devoted to listing all the best and unique pug names possible. This is great as it gives you a chance to jump right in and make a quick decision. There are a lot of great names in these listings and I'm sure you will find one that is perfect for your new pug puppy. Another great feature in these sites is the fact that they list their names in male and female columns, as well as having a separate column that is for both male and female pugs. It's also important to note that all the names are listed in alphabetical order, which makes it a whole lot faster.
So there it is, the best places to find the best possible pug name. If you're hoping to find a name that is completely unique and one that no other dog in the whole world has, then it is going to take you a whole lot longer. I would suggest trying out different languages and finding a word that best suits the type of personality your pug has. That's why Japanese names have become so popular, due to the fact that there are so many different meanings to their letters and words.

You should name your pug " fudog" its kinda unusual, I heard it from a cartoon call " The American Dragon", the dog is also a pug. I find this name unusual and interesting. I think its some kind of chinese translation but its cool for a pug. Its ok if u don choose this name.

If you have him for christmas maybe Rudolf or somthing.
A dogs name never stays the same - for instance my dog is called sandy, but he has every name under the sun -
Sandy pops
Popsy
Popsicle
Lamb Chop
Stinky (he farts a lot)
Winky (he winks at me)
Sir Stinkalot
Lord Winkleston
The list goes on - but my point is what you call him is irrelevant, its the cute pet names that he knows only comes from you that matters!!!!
