You should be ok. Why are you taking so many Tylenol? Did you take them close together or strung out over the entire day? It is bad on the liver, especially over time. But people take more than that. For my Mom's arthritis her doc had her take 10-12 a day.

you not in any trouble at the moment, Don't do it again though. as it can damage your liver and kidneys with prolonged use. drinking a lot of water as you are doing will help flush you system.
i will hope that this was not an attempt at intentional overdosing. if so TALK TO SOMEONE because that is NEVER the right answer
if this still isn't helping with calming you down you can try calling poision control phone # is in front of a yellow pages they can tell you what else you may be able to do or if it is serious enough to go to the ER
i don't think it is that serious as i have taken more in a day at one time with no ill effects (had horrible migrane and just didn't pay attention to the time in between doses. not that its a good thing to do)

If you have spread 12 pills out over 10-12 hours, you are probably going to be OK. If you took 10 of these at once, it would be a different situation. As a precaution, you can get to a grocery store that has a pharmacy and get some activated charcoal and follow the instructions.

The thing with Tylenol is that more then 4 grams of it a day over time causes liver damage.
Once probably isn't going to kill you, but why are you taking that many anyways? To be sure, see a doc either for pain management or psychiatric evaluation.
Also, poison control can answer your concerns better then yahoo questions, I think.

You need to go to the ER. Below, I have pasted the NIH's directions regarding overdose:
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.
If someone takes more than the recommended dose of acetaminophen, get medical help immediately, even if the person does not have any symptoms. Symptoms of overdose may include:
* nausea
* vomiting
* loss of appetite
* sweating
* extreme tiredness
* unusual bleeding or bruising
* pain in the upper right part of the stomach
* yellowing of the skin or eyes
* flu-like symptoms
In addition, here is what my pharmacology teacher said on the subject in his lecture notes:
"Acute Poisoning: 2 to 24 hrs. post-ingestion; nausea, vomiting, weakness, diaphoresis, chills, abdominal pain, diarrhea. 24 to 48 hrs. post-ingestion (often without symptoms) hepatotoxicity, hepatic necrosis, acute renal failure, coma, death."
Go to the ER now.

You will be fine. That is the recommended dose. It is low for this very reason. Taking 12 at a time may pose a risk but spacing them out is fine. It is actually common place for people with certain pain disorders to take 4 pills each time (but only under MD supervision). Just take a deep breathe and relax.

You would have to take many times this in one day to over dose. The problems you mention of liver failure when people who are chronic take too many for months and years. Don't worry about if but be more careful in the future! You are being way over the top. If this is just too much for your mind call a poison control center. They will tell you that you are OK, b/c you are!

If the Tylenol tablets you've taken contain 500mg (0.5g) of Tylenol each.
Then 12 x 0.5g = 6g. Which means that you've ingested 6g of Tylenol.
According to eMedicine.com, the toxic doze of Tylenol is 150mg/kg of body weight or (0.15g Tylenol per 1kg of body weight).
http://www.emedicine.com/EMERG/topic819.htm
Your body weight of 119lb is about 54kg. Which means that the dose you've taken is 6g/54kg=0.111 g/kg or 111 mg/kg of body weight.
It looks like you've taken just below the toxic dose of Tylenol. And your parents are right that you don't need any medical treatment. But you might need some psychological treatment (i.e. spanking) for playing with Tylenol like that.

Well it all depends on how far apart you have taken the pills, so maybe add that bit of info in somehow then it would be easier to analyze.
