At times I feel they are. They take , take.. people put efforts into responding and they do not care. It is left to to the supposed "brainy community" to pick a best answer after giving up reading #3 answer.
I personally always choose a BA..even if it is not the right answer. A person has made an effort afterall.
Not talking points here..."10 points"...for ??? who cares ??
What are your thoughts about this please ?

Rhage..now it is difficult with all the private networks and all but I used to look at people's Q/A too to decide.
A BA always brings on a smile doesn't it ?

I think some missed the point. Am not talking about the Qs like " what kind of ice cream to dou like"
It is going to be difficult to choose a BA..that I admit.
I see it a bit like at school when you had a multiple choice Q and HAD to choose one.

Yes. I always pick a BA, too. Not only so it can help me out; it can also help other people out if they go to search for the question later on down the line....they'll know factual (and opinonated) answers.
However, if I post a question and barely anyone responds and their answer truely disregards my question, I'll just delete my question. Anything to avoid going into voting!!
I don't care if I get chosen as BA...I mean, it's nice from time to time to know you helped someone out...but it's also interesting to see someone else's point of view that received BA (not that their answer is necessarily "better"; just more fitting to the asker's needs.)
Good question, though.

I try to pick my own too. I'm truly interested in what everyone has to say and I appreciate the effort that goes into most answers. If this were the real world I'd liken that to asking someone a question and then turning my back on them when they're answering.
Sometimes, however, things happen. I've had "oopsy" moments where I forget I've asked something. Sometimes too people are busy and can't come back. It's hard too to know if the person is confident enough to pick the right answer. I know I've had moments where I've wavered over the right answer.

I was wondering that myself. Why do they ask & not choose an answer. About 1/3 of the questions I answer go to voting. I never have let an answer got to vote, but I guess people have their reasons. Do they know they get points for choosing?

My questions only get to voting if I'm away from the internet for a while. I like to choose the best answers myself. A lot of users take their questions to voting in a matter of hours. Most of the time, some really crappy answers gets picked.

no, they have lives.
my kids come first,
sometimes my Q's go to Voting,
i don't like it
but it's life.
edit: why bother? lol - because it's my choice not your's. and if i want to ask 100 Q's and can only vote on 85 because i also have a life, what do you care? you're taking this way too seriously & it doesn't sound like you're having fun, so why do you even bother?

ISa,...The only reason I use [notice the word"use"]to let it go to voting,....Was if I couldn't make my mind up as to who should win,....However,I noticed the most inappropriate answer would win out!,...Can't be having that,So I always choose the answer now!!,....Questions.questions,Jemmy.
