I know there are people that have gone through way worse than what i'm going through, i understand that but i'm in need of help.

A month and a half ago i was in a terrible car accident, totally my fault, lost control and hit a tree the car was literally smashed in half, the drivers seat was pushed over on to where the center console was, the seat didn't come off, that's how far it got crushed, center console broke... etc etc

enough about my car, okay, **** where do i start? i can go on for days describing the devastation anyways, my pelvis was broken in 4 places, i had 2 big bumps on the head (size of 2 fingers put together) i had to have catheter in for 3 weeks because of urethra damage, now that catheter is out, i'm developing stricture. i can't sleep for more than 4 hours/day, i don't know if i'm bored, i don't know if i'm hungry, sleepy... etc etc i don't know i can't find peace in myself... any suggestion?

First of all, I am so sorry about what you're going through. Secondly, I do not agree with the responder above by the name of "Mog", who advised you in a very inappropriate way to not use "g-- d---" antidpressants. That may be his or her opinion, but antidepressant medication has greatly helped many people, including myself, and I think that decision should be between you and your doctor. Sometimes antidpressants, especially Elavil, can help lessen the perception of pain as well as have a sedative effect so as to help you sleep better. I would most definitely seek the advice of your doctor and let him know how you feel and that your having so much pain.

You need to go back to your doctor and ask for something that will ease the pain at night. I know what you are going though 4 months ago i fell and i have a really bad back now. The doctor put me on flexeral and it helped me with the pain and i slept so much better. I'm not saying that medication is the best way to go..But it's a start..But be-careful one of the side effects of flexeral is itchy eyes.I wanted to scratch my eyes out that's how bad it got for me..But you need something you can't go through with the pain..And if that doctor wont help you just keep going to other doctors ones got to believe you..Good luck and God Bless.

Try a sleep aid prior to going to bed at night, Tylenol PM for pain and sleep aid might help. If an OTC med won't help alleviate your pain, you need to go see your MD and ask for a stronger prescription med. Maybe if the pain eases you will be able to rest better as well. Hope you feel better!

ok well whatever you do do not taking a god damn anti depresent because those things do good but not in your case. Just go back to your doctor and get something to ease the apin or get him to figure out the problem. But with time it will heal i think. But this is just a suggjestion.

You need a primary physician that's your docotr, he'll read your chart and see what you need. Tell him your problems. The ER isn't exactly a follow up organization with all the people they treat.
Make sure he knows all your problems, I can think of several things he can give you but, you may not need all of them. Good luck
