Are real atheists keep preaching their belief that "there is no god." Or compell to prove they are right? Are most true atheists pretty apathetic about god and religion? And embrace all the positive humanistic aspects of religion (i.e. charity)?

A lot of atheists are extremely accepting of others' beliefs. Some, though, won't shut up about their beliefs and how theirs are better than anyone elses'. But that's just like any type of group of people, some are more tolerant than others.

Some atheists are vehemently anti-religion, some are merely apathetic, and many others fall somewhere else. I've met many examples of each (and belong to the last category). Heck, I've probably gotten into as many debates with militant anti-religious atheists as I have fire-and-brimstone evangelists.

Most atheists are individuals with varying thoughts about society, culture and everything.

Some to many of us have some concerns about the impact of religion on our society and our lives, but other than that we don't care what you believe. Others view religion as an unneeded delusion.

I think atheists are selfish brutes with a superiority complex. Any atheist I've ever met seems to look down upon people, especially theists. I think God put atheists here for a reason: to challenge theists to see if we're worthy to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. God works in myserious ways, remember that. God bless you.

The only unifying factor in Atheism is a belief that there is no god.

Some are positive about religion (minus the god stuff), some are neutral to religion, and some are anti-theistic and anti-religion.

I think they are mostly supportive of their right as well as yours to believe and practice religion as each sees fit. They are in the military pledging their lives so you can have that freedom. I've known Christians in the Air Force who, although they took the oath, said they would leave before dying to protect things that didn't support their belief system.

Some are, some aren't. Atheists only have one thing in common and that is not believing in god(s). Atheism is not a belief.

No, most atheists are tolerant of religions, if the theists keep their religions to themselves.
