i heard that you can use the xbox360 to record live television..is this true?

how do you even use the recorder on the xbox360? can you tell me please?

You can use the xbox360 as a Media Center Extender.
If your PC has Media Center extender and a TV tuner, then you can record live TV via the xbox interface.
You can also access Internet TV via your PC.
