the gameplay is very slow.. i have all the recent updates( 2.10)

According to the playstation website, Tekken Tag Tournament plays slower than normal speed on the 80GB PS3, and some of the graphics jitter during some parts of the game.
Also the website said that all of the issues with the game have been resolved with the new 2.10 update for the PS3. So I guess that you haven't downloaded the new update yet because all of the issues for the game have been resolved.

The 80 GB model experiences some slow frame rates with the PS2 games. It is a problem that they are working on fixing in a firmware update.

The 80 GB model has a different emulator than the initial units had, it is still being worked on to get it up to par with the original ones. You are just gonna have to wait until a firmware update fixes this problem.
