I started out in a Southern Baptist Church House, and according to them it was a sin, or it was a LONG time ago...... rofl...... just told my age !! anyway, *dancing unto the Lord* is NOT a sin..... and that simply means, with JOY !!! nothing else on the mind but pure joy and happiness....... but, if some see dancing as a sin, then who am I to say they are wrong..... go in peace.... God bless

We don't dance in church. What church does that ?? Dancing is not a sin, but many times, drinking and dancing go together and many things happen because of the combination. So this is frowned upon in many churches. Like going to a ballroom to dance. Ususally, drinking is there and many churches frown on that. I have never heard of dancing in a church.

Someone dancing in a strip club is doing something sinful. Promiscuity and lustful feelings develop.

A couple dancing with their arms around each other COULD possibly let that lead to more, and so many churches try to discourage it.

But, stuff like square dancing, or a group of people holding hands and dancing in a circle..... I can't see anything at all wrong with that.

You dance in church? We don't, in mine.

Dancing evolved into a sin in some churches in the US. It is not considered a sin by most of the Christian world.

dancing is not a sin, it`s how you dance. If a stripper dances dirty that is not godly. The way the jews dance in a religious festival is an example of how a Godly dance is. I see some girls in church with nothing on dancing like their at the bar and it`s just not good. Basically when you put common sense and the bible together you can figure it out.

It depends on how you are dancing on whether its a sin or not. We don't dance at my church.

Dancing is not a sin. Here are a couple of scriptures taken from the book of Psalms

Psa 149:3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

Psa 150:4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance:praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
