For me, I still haven't gotten over Ave Maria. Maybe because it's generally sung in Italian and I don't understand the lyrics. You?

I still like Ave Maria as well, but I find most of the songs I still like even now are Christmas songs. I love Silent Night. It was always one of my favorites.

Even though I consider myself an atheist leaning agnostic, I still enjoy Christmas music. In fact I have a huge collection that grows every year. The bagpipes in Amazing Grace still give me chills. Nothing really changed for me. Don't focus on the god lyrics and religious association, and simply look at the bigger wholesome message that any civilized human, despite belief, would agree with. You don't have to give up all your sentimental memories and traditions.

Pretty much all of them, I especially loved Rock of Ages, How Great Thou Art, Amazing Grace and Walk Tall (that last one was sung at my LDS baptism, I still know all the words by heart).

Gotta admit that hearing Amazing Grace on the bagpipes gets me. People either think the pipes are beautiful or that they sound like a cat with its tail stepped on - no inbetween.

There were plenty of songs (almost none of them "Christian") which really got me thinking about God and his love for the world when I was a Christian. I still enjoy them even to this day.

Cat Stevens singing, "Morning has Broken", all my grandma's old time bluegrass favorites, and that Christmas song called, "Mama Mary" by Roger Whitiker (sp?).

Songs of hope and inspiration don't go out of style, no matter how my faith may have evolved/changed. I still love the old spirituals, and swing low sweet chariot is among them.
