What's laid down is a heavy duty pesticide much stronger than a flea bomb, so YES your dog would get sick from this. It's stressing his liver and kidneys too, doing damage to those.

Check with your vet. Standard Revolution being used on the dog every 4-6 weeks should keep him flea free and will kill all the live fleas in the house who jump back on him.

Vaccuumes do a good job of killing fleas as well. Check out this news story that just came out on the 17th.

I would plan ahead and ask someone if you and your dog could stay with them for one night after the exterminater has done the job. This may allow more time for the fumes to leave the house. Another thing that you could do is call your vet and see what type of in home flea treatment that they have. I know where I work we have several different kinds of home bombs and sprays. They may be able to sell you something that is safer for pets.

call the exterminater and ask if the stuff used is pet friendly. There are some that are safe for pets. My dog was really sensitive to the stuff our exterminater used and they swithed it for us no problems since. If poor dog is vomiting try some white rice and cottage cheese. Also a call to your vet would be a good idea.

You can eliminate the fleas from your dog by giving him/her Brewer's yeast-you can get it from health food stores.Give 1/2 teaspoon everyday with morning meal and you can get rid of them in your home by sprinkling Borax (found at Walmart) and baking soda on your carpeting leaving it overnight and then vacuuming it up the next day. Wash all your washables in the hottest water safe for the fabric and you will get rid of any eggs they may have laid also. The Brewer's yeast is also great for the coat. It works by changing the chemical makeup of the dog's blood and repels the fleas. I have been doing this for my 4 dogs for 3 years and have not had any fleas:>) Good luck:>)

my friend recently had her house done and her dog died within 24hrs of the spraying, and wild birds in her garden were dead. its poision, take your dog to some one elses house while its getting done, and a few days after, just to make sure. my friend is taking the exterminater company to court.
