Why do the word Christ bother some people. If it wasn't for Christ the world (including everyone) would perish. Christmas simply remind us that a savior was born to save humanity. If someone doesn't celebrate Christmass then they shouldn't try to hurt those who do. Christ is the son of God who died to save you and I, so give your heart to him and you will be saved. Many people don't know the meaning of Christmas, for it is simply a time for business and profits, but they don't really know its meaning. Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus, the son of God who came to save humanity.

Considering the fact that Christ has nothing to do with Christmas, it doesn't bother me one way or the other.

When ANY Christian can show the term Christmas in ANY Bible, I'll be all for it. Simply because some pagan Emperor could not live without their pagan rituals, they changed the name to Christmas.

If I call a doorknob "Christknob" does that make it holy? 1000 years later will people celebrate Christknob and fight against someone taking Christ out of knob?

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the Rest of You too, Regardless of Religion or Lack of One...Christmas has been Secularized and whittled down to a Madison Avenue Advertising Project!!!! Christmas means something to those Who Do Believe in the Birth, Life and Resurrection of Jesus Christ and Nobody else....

We are Living In an Politically Correct Society. Their "giftmas" came from Xmas, years ago...Reasoning is that Not everybody celebrates Christ or Christmas... Other Religion's Holy Days from where the Word Holiday is derived are celebrated around the same time...To be more Compliant with the rest of the world, Is the Reason for the objection right Down to St Nickolaus who turned into Santa Clause around 1840. St Nicolas was a real person, that gave gifts, as a reminder of what Christians were celebrating in the Birth of Christ.

Really any meaning Christmas had in the past has long been lost. Jesus wasn't even born on Dec. 25. Most theologians and scholars think he was born sometime in April. Just because you think Christmas is the only holiday that should be celebrated during the season, doesn't meant that there isn't a hell of a lot of people who think their holidays are just as important. Also Christmas has Pagan origins, you should research Yule.

Another clueless Evangelist making up a rumor without basis to "scare the Jesus" into us all. Not here buddy we ain't buying it. You and Bill Oraly have fooled some of the sheep into believing it but not all. It's not about political correctness it's not even conservative. It is a lie!
I remember when it was called the Christmas season and included Hannakuh and Yule. People said and wrote happy holidays and meant it. Peace on earth, goodwill toward men was the phrase on everyones lips and helping your fellow man was a great way to get ahead in this world and the next.
People like you claiming to be harmed by a word while you advocate violence, bigotry and discrimination while undermining the Constitution of these United States are false Christians as guilty of unpardonable sin as the pedophile priests, the Bishops who protected them and the subjugators of women.
Go drink your kool aid

What people? No one does! The people having the problem are Christians who feel that the ONLY celebration should be the christian one. Now some people say Happy Holidays, Like the stores, because they can't tell your religion just by looking at you. But there are still A lot of people saying Merry Christmas, or both. So everybody IS in on it. So stop your complaining. No one is saying that you can't say Merry Christmas or celebrate the birth of Jesus. The only people making a fuss are the Christians! Because they haven't got everything all to them selves. They have to "share" the celebration with "others" now. Well Boo Hoo ho.

No one wants to remove the word. Why do you object to other holidays and religions being included in the season? Happy Holidays covers all religions and is respectful.

Not everyone believes what you do about Christ, the world or the day of Christmas. A very large portion of the world, in fact. This is also a time for Jews to celebrate, pagans, heathens, Muslims and having nothing to do with Christianity.

I am a Christian. The word Christ bothers some people, because they don't even believe in God. They don't want to hear about Christ, because they think it is all crap. I totally agree with everything you said, but you can't make someone believe you. Don't force your beliefs on people, and I'm sorry the world is the way it is.

Think of it in this sense. We are a Nation that believes in the Seperation of Church and State. Yet we Celebrate Only Christian Holidays as National holidays. Pls concidering Jesus wasn't brn on that day it seems kinda funny to ascribe his name to it.

satan would love for Christ to be taken out of Christmas. If he can keep people distracted from its real meaning, then maybe some would not be saved. We need to look to see who is working behind the scenes, as we are in a spiritual battle. he hates to have people think about Jesus during this season.

Some think it is as you stated.

Some think it is a Pagan Holiday co-opted by Christians.

Some think of it as a few days off from their jobs.

Nothing is 100% anything to everyone, kiddo.
