Sure. Why not?

I've got to ask - do you really not know how to spell any better than you did in this question?

Yes, if you're a pretty good judge of character and are sure they won't run away with your camera. :-) When I see families or couples taking pictures of each other at tourist spots, I almost always offer to take a picture of the whole group. They are usually either a) surprised, b) delighted or c) suspicious. I always have a little bet with myself on what kind of reaction I'm going to get!

If you're asking them to do it with your camera, it's not weird at all. If you're asking them to take a picture with THEIR camera and then send it to them later, that's a little weird. I had a little old lady do that to me once. I really did have every intention of sending her the picture but never got around to it. So now I've got a picture of some lady's grand kid that I don't know in my pictures folder on the computer.

Sounds like you're too young and have never traveled alone..... when you're with no one that can take your picture and there's no place to put your camera in order to use the timer-shooter, I guess you have no other choice but to ask someone else to take the pic...... I've had a bunch of people taking pics of me, or of me + someone else when there isn't a friend closeby who can do it. This includes other tourists, waiters, etc....

There isn't a problem with it. I've asked someone before to take our picture while on a trip. The reaction to asking someone to help depends on personality - most people will be glad to help, others will look at you weird.

I've done it many times. In fact, I can't think of a time where I ever had a bad experience with it. And when people ask me, I'm happy to help.

I've done it for some people....even a few tourists!!

It's generally not a problem unless you are bugging them or per chance you happen to ask at a bad moment.

I think it's kind of fun!!

I think so. As long as you don't interrupt their conversation or anything. I've done it before, and I've been asked to take a stranger's picture before also. I don't think it's weird or rude. I mean, it's not like you can take your own group picture. :)

It is, just be sure they don't take your camera! Some people don't like to, but most will snap a quick picture if you ask them.

Yeah, if they are willing. Stake outa good person though, you wouldn't want someone running off with your nice camera.
