Yes you are, but not past the "Barrel". Once you reach that point, you have to discard all tobacco products as well as any other items which are contraban past that point, so save your money and just don't take it.

AND, don't get caught using tobacco on either side of the "Barrel".

Just to be redundant, you can't use it, you will have to throw it away, so save your money and don't take it.

HELL NO. They will rip you a new as*hole. Sorry man. I am a fellow tobacco consumer as well and I have to quit smoking again for Army Basic Combat training.

I'm sure you're ALLOWED to bring it, as they wo'nt really do a full-out-search of your **** until you get there. And when they find it, it'll prolly be a funny site for everyone except you.
A guy on the bunk next to me had condoms in his bag and the sergeant drilled him with questions like Who he expected to be gettin' busy with, etc. It was pretty outrageously funny.

Just don't bring anything with you except your driver's license, ATM card, pair of sox and underwear..

Don't believe the rest of these guys. You can take chewing tobacco with you. In fact, starting on the 2nd week, everyday after every meal the Drill Sergeants give 5 minutes in formation to chew or smoke. The DS will chew or smoke with you too, and that becomes "personal time" with the platoon and the DS where you get to know them a little better and vice versa. The rest of these guys just don't want you to experience what they didn't get to in the old BCT.

........................lol................... do it =Op

Better quit now. Military is a smoke free environment. If I'm not mistaken you can't any do it anywhere on bases any more.
