I really really like this girl, perhaps even love her. She's smart, independent, talented, funny, beautiful, and honest. The problem is she has a boyfriend, and he's a real jerk. He's a druggy, going to community college, and treats her like crap as far as i know. he won't even sit through her concerts. What can i do to get her with me?

Unfortunately, most great girls like bad boys. There is that danger element in being attracted to a dirtbag, for some reason. Keep your distance on the love side, but maintain your friendship and if she is wise, she will figure it out. Otherwise, if you get involved, you might make her angry and then game over anyhow! Be careful in becoming an emotional pillow!!! She will look to you as someone to hear her various problems with the boneheads that she's dating and that's as far as that will go (not to say don't listen, you should, but keep a little bit of distance on that one!) I've had similar situations in school liking certain girls, and even tried to get involved which is a giant mistake. In the end, they either wake up, or they get dragged down.

give her time to decide whether staying in that sort of relationship is worth it's trouble,she is still with her current relationship for reasons you might not even understand, but if you truly do admire her, then it may not be a good idea to start pouring your heart out to her,a person's outside appearance doesn't always reflect the turmoil that's going on on the inside, take everything slowly. good luck

If you're close friends with her, you could mention that he doesn't seem like the right guy for her. Don't push it, and if you're not friends with her yet then definitely don't say anything at all. She'll resent it. But she will realize on her own that he's not worthy of her if you give her time. Good luck!

Hang out with her more.
Get to become close friends and tell her what you think of him.
At first she might get sad/mad but you'll be there for her when it happens and like if you really know how to talk to her she won't be really "pissed off".

well, if she can't realize how big of a jerk her bf is....then she has a problem. approach her and tell her what you think of her bf and maybe she'll come to an understanding and break up with him. then you'll be likely to have a chance with her.

Just be a good friend and BE THERE FOR HER, if he's druggy eventualy he will screw up. And you'll already have your foot in the door.
