The U.S. Government sells surplus military equipment....everything from vehicles and aircraft to bunks and blankets. I am looking for an unarmed helicopter that seats four to six but it must have the "hours flown log". Having the log is the only way the chopper can be converted to a civilian aircraft. Please, serious resonses only if you know someone or a broker that deals in military surplus.

All aircraft(helo's too) have to come out of the Bone Yard in Tucson AZ. They do not sell them at the local DRMO!

You would have to contact them directly to get specifics, but I know they sold a T-38 once by accident and it is flying with a civilian registration now!

Check with Col. Oliver North, USMC, Ret. He was able to illegally sell & ship arms to the Iranians waaay back in the 80's contrary to US laws, which I think are still on the books. He lied to his CO about it and got away with all these crimes cuz he was an aparatchik of the Reagan regime.

I would call bases that have those type units and find out when they have their sales and see if they actually sale that type of equipment to the public. I know that Ft Carson had sales each quarter but I don't remember them selling any flight equipment,
