Colds can be a cause of draughts so a correct place for the cage is very important. Cold mixed with a draught leads to a cold to the poor hamster. The symptoms of cold are: sneezing, wet nose, breathing heavily, sitting in a hunched position.
It is very important not to wash your hamster or else they would get a cold! Also never handle a hamster when you have a cold as the hamster will easily get a cold. Early referral to a vet is important so that the vet can prescribe antibiotics. A hamster with a cold should be kept in a draught free and warm room. Palatable foods are good for sick hamsters. A little added honey with water may encourage drinking.

milk is not hamster food. When they are babies or pregnant you can give them powdered milk , but only a little. Their main staple should be whole grains and veges.

Some of them can survive falls. Some will die. Unlike cats, they are not agile enough to land safely on both pairs of legs. Gravity will damage the part of their body they landed on.

Observe the hamster. Keep him quiet and do not handle him too much for now.

NO MORE MILK! And take her to the vet, there are no excuses for this because there are emergency vets open on holidays and all night long. I know because I just took my hammie to the vet at 3:30am almost 2 weeks ago. He fell and got knocked unconcious and the vet said he had a concussion. It wasn't THAT expensive and it was soo worth it to know my hammie was okay. If you love your hamster you need to get her to the vet ASAP.

uhh nooo ! this same thing has happened to me... then it choked on the milk. the vet said that her throat closed up. she had an allergic reaction from the milk. the doc siad neverrr give milk to a hamster. but,... she also had a cold the week before. if i would have taken her in i could have saved her life!

soo take her in noww !! dont wait!

but when your hamster does die there is an easy cure, throw the hamster in a fire. and make brownies. my grandma told me about that one. boyy do i love her ;]

More vegetables containing vitamin C.

Vitamin C works by thickening the blood cell walls making it harder for viruses to penetrate and also thickening the blood.

As far as the fall, she may have ruptured internally. Any sudden stop causes the blood pressure to concentrate on one spot.

she should be alright stop feeding her milk, milk was meant for baby cows, only give her distilled water its better for her and has no pesticides, all u.s. water has traces of pesticide residue in it. also don't feed her human food only give her fresh organic veggies plus what ever type of food they recommend at your local pet store. small animals are more susceptible to these toxins(pesticides) than a large animal. she will be a lot more happy and healthy

take it to your vet if you dont want it to be very sick. it will be cheaper to get a check-up than have an emergency surgery for your hamster.
