I plan on going to West Point and am wondering what jobs are the most interesting and most promising for a civilian career?

The best job to start out as an officer would be an Infantry Officer. It will be the most interesting job out there. It will also teach you the dicipline and the leadership skills needed to succeed anywhere. You can switch branches then and do something that will better you for a civilian career. There are I believe 10 or so other branches out there for you to choose from. And choosing the job you are are wanting for a promising civilian career all depends on where you see yourself someday.

Best Army Officer Mos

Those are completely different questions. A good job for a young Army officer is infantry, because it teaches him how to lead in the dirt. Actually, any combat arms MOS will do that.

To transfer to civilian life, you're looking more at the enlisted side of things.

well i wouldnt be to concerned with that at your the current moment. If you get into West Point then you will figure out sometime within your 4 years what you want to do.

For me there is not greater honor than leading marines so i chose 0306 weapons specialists, infantry officer

is to late to talk you out of the Army and into the Marines??
