I have been told he was approx. 6months old when the wisemen found him..is there a specific reference in the Bible that shows his age?..

The only reference to Jesus' age when the Magi visited is that they visited the "child," (Matthew 2:11) and that Herod killed the boys two years old and under according to the timeline given by the Magi. (Cf. Matthew 2:16)

I think he was about 2 years old by the time they reached him, but I could be off on his age.

I don't think there is, but we can assume it was within the first 2 years of His life since after talking to the wise men, King Herod had all the baby boys 2 and under killed.

He was around 1 1/2 years of age. He was most definitely NOT a newborn. He was up and walking around....
