I'm concerned about my sister getting kidnapped or raped?

I need some advice on what to do about my sister. She is a white 17 year old girl and sometimes she takes a walk at night. (actually, right now. It's 10:04 pm) I'm scared she is going to be kidnapped. My mom sometimes is concerned but says "She'll be find with her cell phone..." I don't think my mom sees the danger in this situation. Not to be raciest, but a few supicious old mexican guys have moved in my neighborhood recently (but we have a pretty safe neighborhood) and i have heard that they like young girls. I am just soo worried and i always try to talk my sister to stop but she wont listen. She always promises (like yesterday) but she is braking it RIGHT NOW!!!

NO my sister would never smoke! and she isn't seeing a guy, trust me...I know her and her personality isn't like that.

And she DOES walk in daylight. Basicly, she has no life and walks alot.

And bout the mexicans...I say they are suspicous cuz my friend who live in the neighborhood was almost ikdnapped by one (white car driving at same pace as her (close to din din time), then when she starts to run, they speed up, and finally she hides in a bush and the guy drives around looking for her and after a while she runs home.) my friend wouldn't lie...but my sis isn't exactly the best runner there is.

Well, ya didn't ask a question but what I can say to you is unfortunately since your Mother chooses to take no action, and your sister is a naive fool, there's nothing you can do but hope for the best. I do hope nothing ever happens and your sister stays safe, but she's VERY unwise for taking the chances she is simply because there aren't too many places anymore that it's real safe for a woman to walk alone after dark...there are a lot of creeps in the world who wait to take advantage of such people.

She's got to care enough about herself to want to be safe, and choose to not go out alone after dark...hopefully she'll see she's worrying her family and risking her safety...

Instead of asking your sister to stop taking her walks entirely, ask her to do them at a time that isn't quite as late in the evening.

Meanwhile, respect her enough to trust that she will take adequate precautions. After all she does take her cellphone when she ventures out. If she sticks to well lit areas, then she will probably be quite safe.

We can't let all the baddies keep us hiding inside our houses.
Every person should be able to go out for a walk at any time of the day without fear.
To do otherwise means that the bad guys are winning.

Try not to worry. Worrying about her won't help her no matter what happens.

Sounds like your a 11-16 year old. Adults would not handle this like you are right now. Maybe you should actually talk to her about the dangers at night when she walks alone. You should walk with her, or tell her to walk in daylight. good luck with you and your sister! :D

She is probably sneaking a smoke or something. She is almost an adult so she has the right to go for a walk if she wants.

how would you come to hear that those "Mexicans" like young girls? did you already go over to welcome your new neighbors or what? Don't worry about your sister if she wants to take a walk in the night it's because she is probably visiting someone.

Your sister is out walking at 10 p.m. she is up to something and she is probably sneaking off with some guy, and if this guy forces her(rapes her) she will probably blame the "old mexicans guys" so the guy she is sneaking off to see is blamed. Your mother should follow her and see what she is up to.
