'Paraclete' appears in the New Testament in the Gospel of John (14:16, 14:26, 15:26, 16:7, 20:22) where it may be translated in English as "Counselor", "Helper", or "Comforter". The Early Church identified the Paraclete as the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:5,1:8,2:4,2:38) and Christians continue to use Paraclete as a title for God's Spirit.

Paraclete is an Advocate or an Intercessor. As this word relates to the Holy Spirit in this verse that you selected He is the Testifying Spirit concerning Christ.
John 15:26
But when the Comforter comes whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of reality, who proceeds from the Father, He will testify concerning Me"
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth and reality comes " from/with". He does not come alone.
The Holy Spirit, who is sent by the Son from the Father comes not only from the Father but also with the Father. The Father is the Source. When this Spirit comes from the source, He does not leave the Source, but comes with the Source. This Spirit, sent BY the Son and Coming WITH the Father testifies concerning the Son. Therefore, His testimony concerning the Son is a matter of the Triune God, the Trinity.
As the Paraclete He is the One testifying today concerning the Trinity. Today we, as the Church need to have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.

A paraclete is an intercessor or an advocate. My bible (KJV) doesn't have that word in the verse.
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
The Comforter is the Holy Spirit.

That is a term used to describe the Holy Spirit. It describes His "going along side" of us enabling us to live as we are so called.
Not the entire Trinity but a portion.
Hope that helps.

Holy Ghost: the third person in the Trinity; Jesus promised the Apostles that he would send the Holy Spirit after his Crucifixion and Resurrection; it came on Pentecost

Well...
The New International Version puts it this way: "When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me."
Paraclete comes from a Greek word meaning "one who consoles - a comforter" or "one who intercedes on our behalf - an advocate".
Yes, Jesus is talking about the Trinity.

Trinity is a word nowhere to be found in the Bible,, But it is present in the Quran.....
Quran Sura 4. An Nisaa
O People of the Book! Do not transgress the limits of your religion. Speak nothing but the Truth about Allah. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary was no more than a Messenger of Allah and His Word "Be" which He bestowed on Mary and a Spirit from Him which took the shape of a child in her womb. So believe in Allah and His Messengers and do not say: "Trinity"." Stop saying that, it is better for you. Allah is only One Deity. He is far above from the need of having a son! To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and in the Earth. Allah Alone is sufficient for protection.[171]
Quran Sura 5 Al Maidah
Certainly they have disbelieved who say: "Allah is Christ the son of Mary." While Christ himself said: "O children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord."Whoever commits shirk (joins partners with Allah), Allah will deny him the paradise, and the hellfire will be his home. There will be no helper for the wrongdoers.[72]Certainly they are unbelievers who say: "Allah is one of three in a Trinity." There is no god except One Allah. If they do not stop saying what they say, a painful punishment will befall the disbelievers among them.[73] Will they not then turn to Allah and seek His forgiveness? Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.[74]
About the councellour comming, Jesus Christ pbh said that untill I go he cannot come...... But in the bible as well as the quran it is clearly stated ... that Gabriel was always there to help Jesus Christ.......
So the Counselor ment to be the last prophet Muhammad s.a.w.
It also fulfills the word of the Bible.... in which Abrahams second wife Hagar pbt was left in the desert by abraham pbh and there when the child ismael was thirsty, and Hagar was told by Gabriel that do no worry the baby wont die.... infact his decendents would be like sand on the shore......
So you see the MUSLIMS like sands on the shore.....
Like God commanded Gabriel to tell Hagar Peace be on them all..
Peace be on you
