Okay I have a cd I used for my boys it's titled "Preschool Favorites".

On it:
1. ABCs
2. 5 Little Ducks
3. This Little Light of Mine
4. Kookabura (I HATE this song, it drives me nuts)
5. Playmate
6. Down by The Bay
7. I've been working on the railroad.
8. BINGO
9. Shortnin Bread.
10. Row Row Row your Boat
11. Loop De Loop
12. Polly Wolly Doodle
13. Pop Goes the Weasel
14. Where is Thumbkin
15. Froggy Went a Courtin
16. Make new Friends.

We listened to it at home in the car, etc.

Hope this helps.

Great idea above for a CD for 3 & 4 years olds, however, the kids who are in Kindergarten - 1st grade seem to really enjoy a lot of the Kidz Bop Music and Radio Disney type songs more than the little kiddie songs. (Hollback Girls and the clean version of Get the Party Started are the favs at parties as well as Who Let the Dogs Out and I Like to Move It.)

Also - for the younger kids - Ralphs World has some great songs which aren't as annoying as some others. My kids love Teddy Bear named Freddy Bear and Happy Lemons.

I did the same thing with the songs I use in my classroom. I used songs from the following artists:
Laurie Berkner- Victor Vito and Buzz Buzz CD's
Hap Palmer- Learning through Music Series
Jim Gill- Making Noise in Boise Idaho

They are fun songs and the children enjoyed teaching their parents the motions to the songs.

I know their is one about a little boy going to to the store. That is alot of fun. I believe it is called Sammy. Good luck with your CD

Before they are lost - how about going round all the remaining grand and great-grand parents and get all the old play songs recorded, especially the skipping songs. The fat little buggers might get interested in picking up a long rope and doing some exercise to them.

I made a CD for my son from Limewire and it has all my favorite Disney songs from when I was a kid. Junglebook, Lady in the Tramp, The little Mermaid, Bambi, Alice in Wonderland, etc.
