my father sometimes calls my by the name wanger which i believe means wanker, is tht normal?? do i take it as a friendly joking comment or offensive?? :O

like what u doin wanger.. etc.

yes it's offensive to me i wouldn't appreciate it much. ask him what it means. and tell him you don't like it much.

I went to answers.com and the difinition says it is a pillow for the cheek. Which I really don't think that is what he means at all. He is teasing you and I am 100% sure he is using it as slang for wanker.

Sorry, but dads are like that sometimes. he'll grow out of it as soon as you stop reacting to it>

Tell him you don't like that name and pick a new name, like, lovey or duke or just your real name. Nick names tend to stick to us until we die. My son James, gets called Jamie and he hates it. My dad calls me Susie and I'm Susan, you just can't get past a nickname.

I would think that calling you by your name would not be offensive.
